Automatic Template Application for Child Nodes

Dear Workflowy Team,

I would like to request a feature that allows users to designate a template to a specific node.

Currently, we can use the Template feature either by adding a template button within a node and clicking it, or by calling the template using the / command.

However, I suggest a more seamless method: Could you please add a feature where, if a template is assigned to a specific parent node, any new child nodes created immediately beneath that parent node automatically apply the assigned template?

This addition would significantly reduce friction in the workflow, especially when performing routine tasks like creating daily notes.

This would be another good use case for the ancestral configuration that I proposed elsewhere. Workflowy’s tree structure lends itself to having child nodes consult their parent, grandparent, etc to locate configuration. Templates are a good example.
