Date Automation and mapping - use case : new item from ext Calendar integration (gg, ical...)

I need to keep my cal and wf synched about date and event.
I use zappier to send new gg events into my WF inbox. But what a waist of time to move each date item to my WF timeline…
What would be huge, is

  1. the new WF item created is recognize and reformat as a WF Date
  2. simple automation let you move this new item date wherever you want through WF (in my case : move up to another home node “timeline” and then into the “same date” node, as a child.

no need for bilateral update of course with ext cal.

Next Iteration can be done with date+hour

Nice to hear you’re using the WorkFlowy timeline!

Do you need your calendar events in a calendar? Or could you just have them in WorkFlowy permanently?

Hey! Thanks !
I need to keep my calendarS and use Time Line.
Can’t switch all the event management thing into Workflowy.

@frankman777 I am curious how Frank Degenaar has set up the link for the “3 with an underscore” in his title Move by 3. It appears to transport him to a different area in his timeline. How is this sleight of hand done?Processing: IMG_2206.jpeg…

@elliebuddyhall You can grab an internal link via the 3-dot options menu to the right of any bullet… or you can use the Alt+Shift+L hotkey to copy the internal link to clipboard.

Thanks Ellie ! I can’t display the picture you uploaded. Could you please link The internet page you were refering to ? Thanks

Well all my new entrances arrive in my inbox node and then either:
I drag n drop into the right date note
Or I use the move function to the date node
But this is human task without any value that should be automated ,)
And the WF AI isn’t configured to to it. I tried ,)
