Feature Requests: is there a way to have a shortcut that opens the node in Pane 1, but instead of replacing the original content, it shifts the original Pane 1 content to Pane 2?

Too much JavaScript or bookmarklet, is pane-1-only; even in the command palette, move out, select all, navigate siblings are exclusive to pane 1, for now.

There is no other way; using the shortcut “open in pane 1” is the only option (besides, moving Pane 7 to Pane 1 would take even more steps.).

So sometimes I’ve had to restrict myself to using only Pane 1 — the leftmost pane. But the problem is, when I use a shortcut to open something in Pane 1, it directly replaces whatever was originally in Pane 1. So my workaround for now is to duplicate the original Pane 1, then use the shortcut to open the node in Pane 1. Besides, moving Pane 4 or 5 to Pane 1 would take even more steps.

So I’m wondering: is there a way to have a shortcut that opens the node in Pane 1, but instead of replacing the original content, it shifts the original Pane 1 content to Pane 2?

What about this sequence of commands (via the CP):

  • Open in pane
  • Move pane left

On Windows, this sequence could be automated and given a hotkey using AHK. Not sure what the Mac equivalent would be.
