Hope the new pane will support “navigate back and forward” keyboard shortcut because it only supports zoom in and out keyboard shortcut.

@tschenyinkoh could you demonstrate?
For me, nav back is greyed out even after I have changed pane contents, and nav forward is enabled but does nothing.

You have to set the hotkey, then use the keyboard shortcut to trigger it rather than triggered from the command palette.
