Include pane widths in URL

It’s great that WF now includes the pane identities in the URL, so they can be bookmarked (and hopefully, before too long, included in browser history so browser forward / back will work).

It would also be useful if the URL included the widths of the panes so that this would be saved / restored as needed.

Implementation detail: pixels or percent of screen or percent of window? I don’t have an opinion, as 98% of the time I would be restoring to the same browser window on the same screen. But for flexibility, this would likely require full implementation of the already partially implemented ability to have sum of all pane widths be larger than the window / screen width, so that they scroll as needed in the window.

I’m very excited about being able to bookmark pane layouts.

Hopefully that ability (to either star, save or use the web links to save pane layouts) - is coming to the desktop app also!
I use the web links a lot to create “quick access” links to various views, searches, etc. in my workflowy, but I prefer to use the desktop app for most of my day to day use.

Curious what benefit this brings you?

I’m extremely distractible. Having workflowy in the browser is a temptation to look up just one thing, check email real quick, open that forum link, etc.

Keeping the workflowy APP open, instead of my browser helps me focus better.

Would it help to have a browser window that contains only WF?
Or (slightly more work but more un-browsery) installing WF “as an app”?

I’ve tried the browser window with only workflowy - same distraction problems for me.

However - I’d forgotten about the “open as app” option in Chrome! That does indeed help me! Lets me use the same features as the browser, but looks like the app, and doesn’t have the distractions.

THANKS!
