My Codex agent is unable to attach a file to a node. First, I tried through the Chrome connection, accessing the browser version of Workflowy. It states, “I located both downloaded files in Finder and tried uploading the PDF by copying it into the specific workflowy attachment node. workflowy did not accept it, and its web UI offers no attachment command or file drop target.” model Terra. Then I tried the computer use connection. When instructed to click the three dots to the left of the node using computer, use Control to attempt and reply: “Computer use cannot expose workflows. Hover over three dots, Control; it’s pointer API clicks but cannot hover independently. Please click the three dots and upload the file.” Then I tried the workflowy MCP connection, and it stated: “Workflowy MCP has no file upload operation. Its available actions are node search/read/edit/sync and backups, but not attachments.” As a related aside, I think it will be important moving forward to ensure that AI agents have access to all of the same behaviors that the human does.
Was it the MCP integrated in the desktop app or a third-party one? The integrated one should support file attachments and shouldn’t support backups. Can you give it a try?
