I would like it if we could crowdfund features. Like if we could each chip in $100 and that would give the developers a $5000 bonus to develop this feature if it were done in say, a 6 month time frame. Or if they had a way to allow some users to help them develop this for free. I bet you’d get a bunch of a nerds like me who would be on board with helping out if it meant they’d get to use their beloved feature.
If extra money would get this done, I’d be very happy to pitch in to bring it up the priority list.
I obviously can’t see the codebase, but I’m suprised an equation node type is particularly difficult to implement.
I get the feeling the issue is one of priority, rather than technical difficulty. I can see inline math within a plain text line is more complex, but a standalone equation node is surely tractable?
I’d be very interested to hear from the dev team if there was a technical roadblock, or not enough interest in this particular feature.
