I am trying to get the rawbytz custom CSS working and it is not working as advertised.
I have done this in several browsers – FF, Brave, Vivaldi, probably Chrome or Chromium – it always fails at the same point.
I drag the bookmarklet to the bookmarks bar, it goes in. Then I go to my WF in another browser tab. According to the rawbytz instructions, a dialog should open “on first click”, and then a different dialog will open after adding CSS “on first click”. I “first click” all over the place, but no dialog ever opens. Is this “first click” just supposed to be anywhere? Is there some specific place I can look for an error? I checked the js console and there were some errors about not being able to load a source, but when I refreshed the workflowy page, no more errors.
@seanstandish You might already be doing this, it isn’t clear from your description, but what I do is open a Workflowy page (it doesn’t matter if it is the home node or a sub-node). Then I click the bookmarklet in the bookmarks bar. This opens up a dialog box that allows me to edit or disable the CSS (the disable might not be an option if you don’t have any CSS yet). Click edit to add CSS (rawbytz suggests editing in a text editor and copying/pasting into the bookmarklet since the dialog box is so small). Click save then the X to exit out of the dialog box. You might have to refresh the Workflowy page to see the changes.
The bookmarklet will not open/activate if you are not on a Workflowy page in your browser.
I just checked and the bookmarklet is working in Chrome, so hopefully you can get it up and running. I am not a CSS coder, but I do keep a list of codes other people have posted over the years if you would like to look at those:
Good luck and have fun with modifying your Workflowy!
