Customizable Toolbar Commands

I believe it would help productivity to have a customizable toolbar option in the native Workflowy app.

I picture something that is inserted between the current Home/Path Breadcrumps and the right side Search, Share, Star, etc. commands.

For example, I never use the Share or Hide Completed options in the current ‘toolbar’, so they take up uneeded space (for me). The ability to add/delete any existing command as a button in this area would allow customization specific to the user’s needs. These buttons should be re-arrangable at any time. Perhaps they could also allow for a pull-down button containing several commands. Perhaps it could even allow for more than one toolbar “row”.

The current “hamburger drop down” should remain permanent, on the far right side of the toolbar.

An additional caveat would be to use “Names” instead of “Icons” for the buttons, along with customizable tooltips.

This setting could exist as the current Custom Hotkey do currently, along the lines of:

  • Custom Toolbars
    • Toolbar 1
      • Search
        • Icon Yes (Uses a default icon if it exists)
        • Command
        • Tooltip This is my search bar.
      • Star
        • Icon No (Don’t use the default icon, use the title of this command.)
        • Command StarCommandHere
        • Tooltip This is my Star Command
      • AddPane
        • Icon Yes
        • Command
        • Tooltip This add a Pane to the right side of the current list
