When I create a duplicate item (Alt+Shift+d or /duplicate), it appends “#copy” to the end of the duplicate item. I never want this tag and always delete it immediately. I’d love a way to turn off this tag.

I agree. I always erase it and it would be great if I didn’t have to go through that extra step every time I duplicate a node.

For anyone that didn’t notice, this was fixed in August 19, 2025. Patch Notes.✨ It’s now a setting. Thanks, Workflowy team!

This seems to only work with the slash command and with shift+alt+d. When I hold alt + drag is produces the #copy regardless of what I do in the settings. Do we know if that is to be expected?
