Initially noticed on 4.3.2608251701 [beta, edge, win], 2026-08-25, c 18:00 UTC.
“Clip to Workflowy” content was in the clipboard, but when I tried to paste it to WF, nothing was pasted.
Then I noticed that the same was true after copying from the Edge address bar – paste yielded nothing in WF. Pasting simple text from a text editor, or a WF node, worked ok.
About 6 hours later, after the machine had been locked for a few hours and a browser update had downloaded but not yet installed, the bug was gone. Same WF version.
I figured that it was a fluke that had disappeared, and indeed, it has not returned for me.
But @tschenyinkoh reported the same thing about 9 hours later (2026-08-26 morning UTC).
I’ve been noticing this too.
Paste from notepad or text edit works, but paste from a browser window (Chrome in my case) often does not. Seems intermittent, and I’ve not pinned down when it does or doesn’t work.
Exactly — Command+C and Command+V sometimes don’t work, but copy and paste via PopClip works fine.
I also found another issue that may be related to this. When I copy a node that has many child nodes and then paste it, only the node’s title gets pasted — the child nodes are missing.
Can you give me a web address example doesn’t work? I’m unable to reproduce so far. Also, what’s PopClip? Can it affect pasting in any way, does the problem persist if you turn it off?
