I’d like to suggest a feature that would significantly improve interoperability with other tools.
Feature request:
Allow users to paste plain text that includes both a node and its note content, so that Workflowy automatically creates a bullet with the corresponding note attached.
Use case:
I often generate structured content in external apps (for example, LLM chat tools). It would be extremely helpful if those tools could format content in a simple plain-text convention that Workflowy recognizes, where part of the text becomes the bullet and part becomes the note.
For example, something like:
- Bullet text
:: Note text
Or another clearly defined delimiter format that Workflowy can parse when pasting.
This would make it much easier to move structured content into Workflowy without manually creating bullets and then copying notes separately. It would significantly streamline workflows involving AI tools, writing assistants, and other structured editors.
