Currently you can save a search. It would be great to have a node which is a search (its children are the results). This would allow date-like quick-peeks to start your day (date:today, #now, etc)

Requested many times. Referred to as search node as per your title. Closest thing we have are saved searches or making a search one of the new shortcuts.
