The bullet from which I’m working is called “The Now”. If I search for this exact phrase, I get zero return. (“The No” finds the bullet !)
I understand it could be related to the interpretation of dates, but still, perfect matches should take precedence on interpretations.
I’ve also noticed the same problem for words other than “now” (see Fuzzy search forgets matches ). Is this a recent bug, or has it been happening for you for a while? I’ve been away from Workflowy for a while, but only noticed it recently.
So far I have only seen this in relation with time or date-related words.
I’m guessing that when specific words are recognized in the search (eg months or now), the search is handed to a different code path which does not care about exact matching
I have a tag #now and searches for that work ok, so maybe tags work around the date-words problem. Although I just tried to reproduce this bug with a search for “August” and it’s working for me at the moment. I wonder if they fixed it since my earlier post.
